THE EVENT IS NOT CANCELLED... THE EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED!
On the evening of 23rd December we received a copy of correspondence sent to the venue VUDU from Birmingham City Council Licensing department. The correspondence stated that the venue (Usually used for rock type events / concerts) had not adhered to a licensing condition stating they must inform the licensing department of the planned event 28 days before. As the council had not been informed of the event and done safety checks and risk assessments etc they would not permit the event to take place at this time.
All day our management team have been frantically contacting venues in the city centre to try and find a suitable venue with an adequate capacity to re-locate the event. One venue was found but the capacity was only 600. (This is over 80 less than the amount of advance tickets already sold, coupled with the fact there are over 50 artists and 45 staff.) If we had of used this venue then 175 ticket holding raver’s would not be able to attend. So this was ruled out as an option.
We have been inundated with messages asking if the event has been cancelled the answer to that is NO. The event will be postponed. NOT CANCELLED! We are already looking at other suitable dates however the venue must give a minimum of 28 days notice so the date will be towards the end of Jan at the earliest.
We would like to point out that all day our team have worked hard contact venues and trying their best to find a suitable venue which is not hosting another night on Boxing Day evening. All tickets sold including early birds will be valid on the new date.
Anyone wishing to receive a refund should contact their ticket agent who on their request will issue a full refund. If we do not hear from you then your names will simply appear on the new E-Ticket list. Anyone holding paper tickets those tickets will be valid at the next event also.
All ticket holders will be given a free gift on admission also. We would like to thank all raver’s and artists for their understanding. This matter was totally out of our control.
